Writing my first book, "Rocking Chair Parables, Lessons I learned Along the Way," was been a real adventure in following the Lord’s leading. Every step of the way, He was gently tugging, reminding me of special occasions and the lessons He taught me through each one. The Holy Spirit was active in forming phrases, telling me just what words He wanted me to use. It has been His book from the word “Go.”

On one story, I was just not pleased with its ending. As I sat at my computer, I prayed, “Lord, it really needs something special here.” Suddenly my fingers flew across the keyboard and as I read what I had typed, I nearly fell off my chair, laughing. Truly, God does have a sense of humor.

He even led me to the lovely sister in the Lord half a continent away who was to do the editing.

Many dear friends have been praying with me and for me all the way through this book, as well as the one which will follow. I cannot stress strongly enough how much they helped bring it to fruition.

I pray my stories will help recall similar times and experiences for you and touch your heart with laughter, and perhaps tears. But primarily, I pray you will be reminded how great a love our God has for all of us.
